Oran, 10 a.m. Salim raises the curtain of his bookshop and begins a day like any other, selling and buying second-hand books. He turns his back on the street, which returns his indifference. For Salim, it's all about the books and the people who come to him. To them. His store, barely twenty square meters in size, is the center of attraction for a microcosm of readers from all walks of life, but above all it's a space where a form of freedom is still possible. As Salim begins to put away the records and books he received the day before, he discovers a photo of a woman in one of the old records, which he quickly pastes back together and places on his desk. This is the beginning of a series of encounters that punctuate the film and provide an opportunity to draw up intersecting portraits of Salim and the people who populate this microcosm. Singularities reveal themselves and their intimate immensities.
